A fragrance inspired by Hawaii can go in different directions. Perhaps the most typical one would embrace the floral and tropical fruit aspects that the island embodies, but that wasn’t our choice. We immediately were drawn to the exotic and enigmatic essence of the archipelago. There’s an intriguing beauty in the active volcanoes and its isolated location amidst the vast ocean.

The aka’ula layers aim to speak to that. Hawaii under the night sky and the distant glow of Kīlauea. The fragrance’s darker leathery smoke and resin accords are well balanced by marine ozonic notes, spice, and the fresh, green nuances of distilled pineapple leaves.

For all of its assertiveness, aka’ula wears elegantly on the skin. A perfect “night on the town” fragrance that is as sophisticated as it is audacious.

Origin of name: From the Hawaiian meaning, "red shadow" or "red sunset".
